Back To School: Start Saving Boxes

BACK TO SCHOOL TIME is the perfect time to start collecting your shoeboxes. I've been known to pick out of my neighbor's recycling bin on trash day. Using cardboard shoe boxes is very budget friendly. You will need to wrap them (more tips on this later) but FREE is good.

MY SHOEBOX JOURNEY

I started doing shoeboxes many years ago. At one point, my mother and I contributed more than 80 boxes a year. I also volunteered at the local center with my son. We saw a huge variety of boxes: some very thoughtful prepared and others with nothing but candy.

To pack a thoughtfully prepared box can be very expensive. I have learned many things over the years to keep from breaking the bank.

I will share these tips along with current information. Some posts will not be date specific, others will be be time sensitive (coupon and sale deals) and not good from year to year.
